The alley behind the Chez Cheri gentleman's strip club in Saint John. A man was beaten and later died just around the corner from here a few months before I painted this. He was injurd in a 'dispute' with one of the club's bouncers. It's a beautiful alley with ascending light from above and metal doors painted blood red below as if from heaven to hell.
