Rachel was born in Montreal. As a girl growing up in the Laurentian countryside, she pulled her tea table across the front lawn and set up her very first art gallery. There, she exhibited and sold paintings which illustrated her many morbid preoccupations.

Thankfully, her work has changed very little since that time...

She now lives in a grand Victorian house in Keswick Ridge NB, a place world renown for its spectacular fall foliage, lush biodiversity and wild deer herds.

She is a reluctant graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and before she developed an aversion to white gallery walls, sweaty cheese and cheap wine served in fancy plastic glasses she was known to have worked for a variety of galleries and artist-run centers.
