Upon finding one of their young torn apart and hung to die from the highest branch; crows joined to do away with the predator altogether. For weeks the forest bore witness to the carnage as blood stained fresh white snow. Eventually, fearing that defeat was eminent the crows took a final gamble. They risked the life of their own wounded leader in order to bait the peregrine falcons into the open. The murder then descended upon them in victory.
